HOMESTYLE CHICKEN POT PIE


Ingredients Cooking Instructions

1 1/2 cups VITAPRO CHICKEN
3 cups BOILING WATER
2 cups BABY CARROTS (BLANCHED)
2 cups PEAS (BLANCHED)
2 cups CELERY (BLANCHED)
1/4 cup POTATO CUBES (BLANCHED)
3 cups MILK (2%)
1 tbsp ROUX
2 tsp CHICKEN BASE
2 thin LAYERS PASTRY DOUGH
SALT & PEPPER to taste



1. Cook the VITAPRO CHICKEN 
according to instructions. Drain 
excess cooking liquids and set them 
aside.

2. Heat milk and chicken base.

3. To this mixture, add cooking liquids 
and roux. Bring to a boil while 
stirring. Reduce heat and simmer 5 
minutes.

4. To this sauce, add VITAPRO 
CHICKEN and vegetables. Simmer 5 
minutes. Place mixture between two 
layers of pastry.

5. Bake in a 375 F oven 45 to 60 
minutes.


Yield: 8 to 10 people
